Joe Valenzuela

I'm Joseph Valenzuela, and I've dedicated the last 26 years to ministry. Whether it’s guiding students as a Student Ministry Pastor, making big decisions as an Executive Pastor, or crafting engaging messages as a Communications Pastor at New Life Scottsdale, I’ve worn many hats and loved every minute of it.

When I’m not at church, you might find me on the wrestling mat. Yep, I’ve spent 7 years coaching wrestling—think of it as my version of “spiritual fitness.”

I’m a proud Arizona State University West grad with a BA in Secondary Education/History and I went on to earn an MA in Divinity & Family Counseling from Phoenix Seminary. Basically, I’m a big fan of learning and helping others grow.

On the home front, I’m married to an amazing woman, and together we’re raising three energetic boys. Our household is never short on love, laughter, or chaotic fun!

My wife and I co-own HM Premarital, where we host a podcast dedicated to helping couples prepare for marriage. It’s insightful, it’s real, and sometimes it's downright hilarious.
